Bryan Seal, P.E., serves as Senior Director of Sales Engineering at Wasion Americas, where he partners closely with utilities to understand their technical needs and position Wasion Americas’ products for success across the North American market. As the customer-facing technical lead for the sales organization, Bryan ensures that Wasion Americas’ solutions align with evolving utility requirements, industry standards, and emerging grid technologies.

Bryan’s expertise spans electric distribution power delivery, substation maintenance, electricity metering, power quality, and advanced communication technologies. With more than 43 years in the electric power industry, including 23 years with The Southern Company, 7 years with SmartSynch, 13 years with Itron, and now Wasion Americas, he has played a pivotal role in multiple industry-shaping innovations. He was an early leader in AMI development at The Southern Company, led SmartSynch’s engineering team in creating the first cellular-based communicating residential AMI meter in North America, and contributed to Itron’s initial cloud-based AMI offering as well as Itron’s AMI solution positioning within the North American public power market. Bryan is also the holder of six patents in utility telecommunications.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Outside of working on utility solutions, Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife of 47 years, Marjie, and he cherishes life on their 20-acre property in Mississippi. He is the proud father of three children, including two electrical engineers, and a Pawpaw to nine grandchildren. He is deeply committed to his community and church.
